Support the Scouts
VOLUNTEERS Week starts on Thursday, so how about volunteering to become a scout leader?
Across the country there are 51,000 young people waiting to join the movement but they are unable to do so because there aren’t enough adults to support them to be Scouts.
Every Scout group needs supporters as chair, treasurer, secretary and to fulfil other roles. Supporters do all kinds of things from helping leaders run their sections to raising money, brewing up and collecting subs.
If you would like to volunteer and support Scouting or find your nearest Scout group contact Alan Fish. e-Mail firstname.lastname@example.org call 07931 765 120, or visit www.gmescouts.org
